Fred Ottum

Fredrick M. Ottum, 71, of Altoona, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 19, 2020. 

Fritz was born May 19, 1949, to LaVerne and Maxine (Wagner) Ottum. 
Fritz enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and fixing generally anything. He truly was a man of many abilities.  

Fritz is survived by his son, Jason (Faith) Ottum; daughter, Carrie (Tony) Hehl; grandchildren, Courtney Heck (Brett Owens), Nate Hehl, Quintin Bauer, Emma Ottum, Nora Ottum; great grandchild, Ella Owens; brothers, Dale (Mary Beth) Ottum, Charlie Ottum, Brion Ottum; sisters, Diane Bauer, Loretta “Jean” Simonson, Nancy (Randy) Anibas; and by many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by extended family; Theresa Howard, Miguel Perez, and Israel Perez. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, LaVerne and Maxine “Peg” Ottum; sister, Darlene Ida; and brother-in-law, Ron Bauer; sisters-in-law, Joyce Ottum, Jo Ottum; and a niece, Angela Bauer.

Sorry to hear that Fred passed, may he Rest In Peace. 
When I think of Fred, I always see him in a long sleeved white shirt cuffs rolled up and a collar. Must have been a school event.

So sorry to learn of the death of Fred.. Fred and I started out in 1st grade attending Sheldon Valley School. Sheldon Valley closed like all country schools at that time. and we moved to Mondovi school when  we entered the 4th grade.
